Welcome to Astra AI. By accessing or using our website at astra-ai-1.vercel.app and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Astra AI is an AI-powered astrology chat platform that provides users with automated astrology readings, horoscope predictions, Kundli analysis, birth chart interpretations, and related content generated by artificial intelligence models. The Service includes both free and premium tiers.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.
• By creating an account, you represent that the information you provide is accurate and complete.

3. Account Registration

• You may use the Service as a guest (limited to 8 messages per 24 hours) or create an account for expanded access.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Usage Limits

• Guest Users: Limited to 8 messages per 24-hour period, tracked by IP address.
• Free Registered Users: Subject to daily message limits (currently 8 messages/day) and total lifetime limits (currently 40 messages) during the beta period.
• Beta Period: The Service is currently in beta. Message limits, features, and pricing are subject to change without prior notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
• Attempt to bypass message limits, rate limiting, or other security measures.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scraping tools to access the Service.
• Share, resell, or redistribute AI-generated responses commercially without permission.
• Submit content that is harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or otherwise objectionable.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models or system prompts.

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

This is critical — please read carefully:

• All astrology readings, horoscope predictions, and cosmic guidance provided by Astra AI are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended for entertainment, educational, and exploratory purposes only.
• AI-generated content does NOT constitute professional advice of any kind — including medical, legal, financial, psychological, or relationship advice.
• You should NOT make important life decisions based solely on AI-generated astrology readings.
• Astra AI is NOT a substitute for consultation with qualified professionals, including professional astrologers.
• We make no guarantees about the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of AI-generated content.

7. Intellectual Property

• The Service, including its design, code, AI models, astrologer personas, and branding, is owned by Astra AI and protected by intellectual property laws.
• You retain ownership of the content you submit (chat messages, birth details).
• By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your submitted content solely to provide the Service.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers:

• AI Models: Responses are generated via OpenRouter API using models from Google, OpenAI, and others.
• Authentication: Google Sign-In is available for account creation.
• Hosting: Render (backend) and Vercel (frontend).
• Security: Cloudflare Turnstile for bot protection.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of third-party services.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• Astra AI is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or ₹0 if you are a free user).
• We are not liable for any decisions you make based on AI-generated content.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Astra AI, its creators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.

11. Termination

• We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.
• You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.
• Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive (liability, indemnification, disclaimers) will survive.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
